Since 2021, Knowhere Public House has been a community hub supporting local farmers, brewers, bakers, and makers. From our landmark location in the art deco showroom of the old Gardiner Motor's flagship building in Downtown Sudbury, we've carried hundreds of craft beer labels from all over the province.

Our kitchen team works with passion, care, and creativity. Our menu, with a hint of Finnish flair, reflects the familiar, with highlights of local and fresh ingredients and value. Offering features regularly rooted in the rhythms of the seasons and mother nature’s dance, there is always something new to try.

Our friendly and dedicated team represent the place with pride and integrity and serve as the lifeblood of the operation. They each contribute so much more than just exceptional service; their intelligence and expertise in culture, community, art, technology... and karaoke.

Founders Kaitlin and Bill make for a unique duo sharing the same passion for craft beer and both being troubled by climate chaos. They both believe in eating and supporting independently owned and operated local businesses. They feel that supporting the local economy and community is vital in a world where international corporations and globalization inflict such environmental and social damage. Inspired by this, and the desire for a local, comfortable, casual and inclusive public space that offers quality products that supports the local economy, they opened KPH.

KPH works with local farms and farmers, is discovering how to grow its own micro greens in-house, and off-loads food scraps to a local community garden compost site to breakdown and turn into soil for growing rich and radiant food for the future. KPH is a member the NEW ROOTS COLLECTIVE, assisting and learning to grow food at a farm site in Wanup, ON.

KPH is the
2023 recipient of re-Think Green's Erica Lagios Memorial Award, given to a business or organization for supporting local food production by using locally grown and sustainably produced food.

KPH was also a recipient of a 2023 Desjardin GoodSpark Grant in the food and restaurant category. Awarded for sustainable business practices, our composting program with Ormuir Organics, a food growing project with Flour Mill Community Farm, and community events and collaborations.

The warm and intimate space, our incredible team, and the fresh menu combine to make for a unique and relaxing experience. KPH has established itself as a go-to spot offering kinship through, conversation, events, and great food and drink for hungry and thirsty neighbours, the public, and people travelling through town.
